August, ALREADY?! Seems like we just dusted the Frantic Fueler off for the beginning of the season and it's August already.

The crew has been hard at work trying to crank up the performance level of the Frantic car, and FINALLY it's showing us some promise.

A recent trip to Cedar Falls to match up with our arch rival the "Orange Crate" showed that we can make the car go fast, you just have to know WHEN to apply the power, and when not to.

We love matching up with the "Crate", they do a great job and have found some constancy in their program running high 5's or low 6's on each pass and not hurting things.

Racing them makes us try harder, don't get me wrong we always try hard to do the best we can, but something about getting by the Orange Crate pumps the crew up.

I wasn't sure I would even make the Cedar Falls race, as I was a victim of Mother Nature and found several inches of water in my basement at 5:30 Saturday morning.

Dave and crew got the truck and headed out while I was bailing, by around 1:30pm not much more to do, so I hauled it to Cedar Falls.

I pulled in just in time for Round 1, both Dave and crew seemed glad to see me.

We ran 2 rounds with the Crate getting the better of us on both passes, but the early numbers are showing us we are improving.

Our next event actually is more a social one, the team is headed to Detroit for a little car show called the Dream Cruise.

IF you call 1.5 MILLION people and some of the greatest street cars cruising 12 miles of Woodward Ave little, you haven't been there.

We will be spending some quality time with our friends Sarge and his family, enjoying their company and of course checking out some cars.

Our headquarters will be Larry Payne's famous Duggan's Irish Pub, a fabulous place for a burger and a beer. If you like cars, you will LOVE Duggan's.

It is one of my personal favorite places on Earth, but that's a story for another time.
